Standing at this cabinet

The WWE Ultra Series Arcade Cabinet is a retro arcade machine for the home: an Ultra Series floor cabinet, 61 in tall, with a 17 in screen, and room at the panel for two at once.

This is the cabinet we build for an argument. Two joysticks, two button clusters, one 17-inch screen between them — WrestleFest the way it was played in 1991, with somebody's shoulder against yours and both of you mashing for the pin. The panel is wide enough that neither player has to lean.

Behind the marquee: WrestleFest, SuperStars, The Big Pro Wrestling!, Super Dodgeball and Acrobatic Dog-Fight, so the cabinet keeps going after the wrestling fans have had enough. Two roster notes we would rather say out loud than bury — current licensing keeps Sgt. Slaughter and the Legion of Doom out of WrestleFest, and Andre the Giant out of SuperStars. Everything else is the arcade release untouched.

What we built in

  • Five titles on one cabinet: WrestleFest, SuperStars, The Big Pro Wrestling!, Super Dodgeball and Acrobatic Dog-Fight.
  • Dual joysticks and two button clusters so two people wrestle on the same screen, no turn-taking.
  • 17-inch full colour panel at standing height, bright enough to read a pin count across the room.
  • 61-inch free standing body with a lit marquee; joins with a screwdriver and runs off the included adapter.

A retro arcade machine for the home built for two

Most cabinets are a single-player experience with a second stick bolted on. This one is not. The 61-inch body carries a full dual joystick panel with two sets of buttons at the same height, because the WWE boards were written for two people standing shoulder to shoulder in an arcade. Five licensed titles run behind the marquee, which is the deepest collection of any full-height machine we build and the reason this is the competition cabinet of the range.

What is on the board

WrestleFest is the one people come for, with the tag team ladder and the roster that defined the era. SuperStars, The Big Pro Wrestling!, Super Dodgeball and Acrobatic Dog-Fight fill out the board, and Dog-Fight is exclusive to this full-height edition. The mix is deliberate: two wrestling titles for the fighters, two for everyone else, so the cabinet does not empty the room after one go. Authentic arcade games, original boards, no emulated approximations of the roster.

Standing room, sound and setup

Allow a metre in front for two players, because elbows travel further than feet and a dual panel is wider than it looks. The marquee runs on LED lighting and is bright enough to be the only lamp at that end of a game room. Assembly is a screwdriver and a cleared patch of floor, then the adapter goes in the wall. The volume wheel is on the back, which you will want on the first night.

Who this arcade cabinet is for

Two players, one ring, 61 inches of cabinet. This is a head-to-head machine first, which makes it the obvious pick for a game room where people arrive in pairs. The control panel is built for competition: two full sets of authentic arcade controls, high enough off the floor that nobody has to stoop, with the durable steel and laminate construction we use on every premium floor build. The licensed board carries the official WWE roster, so the wrestlers and the entrance graphics are the real thing rather than a lookalike. Check your space before ordering, because a full size arcade machine wants about a metre of standing room and a socket within reach. What it delivers for that space is the thing a handheld cannot: two people standing shoulder to shoulder, shouting, with the action at waist height and a lit marquee overhead. That is the experience we were creating, and it is why this edition exists at the top of the collection.

How it fits across our collection

If 61 inches is more cabinet than the room can take, the same approach scales down: the Counter Series is a 16-inch tabletop machine for bars and kitchen counters, the Junior Series is a 37.5-inch free standing build for a child's room, and the Handheld Series is a compact mini arcade for a bag. We keep the variety deliberately small — a fixed collection of licensed titles, no custom orders, no pinball — because that is how the quality stays level across every size. None of our machines are coin operated, so play is free and endless for everyone in the house, from a kid of six to a grandparent with a long memory of the real thing. When people ask what to look at first, the answer is always the same: the control, the board, then the height.

What players said about this cabinet

Great fun!

Great machine. Have set up in the game room. Little difficult putting it together so if you have an extra hand it helps.

Wwe rules

I thought it had l.o.d for tag team as well as demolition but still very cool

Great wrestling theme product to add to your collection!

This a must have for any wrestling fan or at home arcade aficionado! Assembly was relatively quick and gameplay has been smooth. It is sturdy and looks great in my living room. It’s been a blast reliving my childhood on a daily basis. I highly recommend this product.

Wrestlefest Arcade

Really difficult to build. I actually had to hire someone for this. Hahaha. It's disappointing that many characters are missing from the game(s), but what this does is bring me back to early-1990s nostalgia, and after all these decades, I finally have the stand up arcade game I've always wanted. The graphics are incredible, and even though the cabinet doesn't stand up as high as I'd like, it is relatively close to 5.5-6 feet high. A perfect addition for a fan of video games, wrestling, and 80s or 90s nostalgia. I think the value is definitely there for the price of the arcade system. Very functional. I'm so very grateful to own this product.
